Be prepared to respond when every second counts. This American Heart Association HeartSaver® First Aid CPR AED course provides hands-on training for adults, teens, parents, teachers, coaches, workplace employees, and community members who want the knowledge and confidence to respond to medical emergencies.
Participants will learn how to recognize life-threatening emergencies, perform high-quality CPR on adults, children, and infants, properly operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and provide basic first aid for common injuries and illnesses until EMS arrives.
Course topics include:
Adult, child, and infant CPR
AED operation and safety
Choking relief for adults, children, and infants
Medical emergencies, including heart attack, stroke, seizures, diabetic emergencies, and allergic reactions
Bleeding control and wound care
Burns, fractures, sprains, and environmental emergencies
Hands-on skills practice with realistic training equipment
Upon successful completion, participants may choose to recieve one of the following:
Official American Heart Association HeartSaver® eCard (available for participants requiring AHA certification) - $80.00
Hill Country Field Medicine Certificate of Completion (for organizations or individuals who do not require an AHA credential) - $60.00
Every course includes all training equipment, instructor-led hands-on practice, and a low student-to-instructor ratio to maximize skill development.
