Course Participation Agreement

By registering for or participating in a training course offered by Hill Country Field Medicine, LLC (“HCFM”), participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions.

Course Participation
Courses offered by Hill Country Field Medicine, LLC include hands-on training activities. Participants must be physically capable of participating in course activities which may include CPR practice, lifting, kneeling, bending, and interaction with training equipment or other participants. Participants agree to follow all instructor safety instructions and training protocols during the course. Instructors reserve the right to remove any participant from training activities if unsafe behavior occurs or if a participant is unable to safely participate.

Certification Requirements
Completion of a course does not guarantee certification. Participants must successfully complete all required course components and demonstrate competency in required skills as determined by the instructor. For courses issuing certification through third-party organizations (such as CPR, BLS, or First Aid programs), certification cards will only be issued after successful completion of course requirements.

Hill Country Field Medicine, LLC is an independent training provider and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the American Heart Association unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Course Registration and Payment
Course registration may require payment in advance to reserve a seat in a scheduled course. A participant’s seat in a course is not guaranteed until payment is received and confirmed. Failure to attend a scheduled course without prior notice may result in forfeiture of the course fee.

Cancellations and Rescheduling
Participants who need to cancel or reschedule a course should notify Hill Country Field Medicine, LLC as soon as possible. Rescheduling may be permitted depending on course availability. Refunds are not guaranteed and may be subject to administrative fees.

Hill Country Field Medicine, LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to instructor availability, weather, low enrollment, or other circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, participants will be offered a rescheduled class date or refund.

Training Equipment and Materials
Training equipment used in courses is intended for instructional purposes only and may include training manikins, simulated wounds, training AED devices, medical training aids, and other instructional equipment. Participants agree to use all equipment responsibly and follow instructor guidance. Damage to or destruction of training equipment due to misuse or negligence may result in financial responsibility for the cost of repair or replacement.

Medical Disclaimer
All training provided by Hill Country Field Medicine, LLC is for educational purposes only. Instruction provided during courses does not constitute medical direction, medical supervision, or individualized medical advice.

Participants are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, employer policies, and licensing requirements when applying any techniques learned during training.

Limitation of Responsibility
Participants acknowledge that Hill Country Field Medicine, LLC is not responsible for the participant’s actions, decisions, or outcomes when applying techniques learned in the course outside the training environment.

Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas.

Agreement
By registering for a course or participating in training, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined in this Course Participation Agreement.
